The Mission

I'm Danny Smith. Over the past year and a half, I have become a trusted leader in the rebuild community, a zone captain for the La Costa and Carbon Beach neighborhoods, a staunch advocate for wildfire resilience and public safety, a vocal proponent of reform within City Hall, and a champion for the rights of Malibu residents against outside interference. It is my vow to protect and strengthen Malibu, to get us back on our feet, and to set us on a course for a brighter and more sustainable future.

This is your Malibu. It is my job to protect it. Our mission and vision statements are our guiding documents. Any work we do, any initiative we kick off, any dollar we allocate will honor our longstanding commitments to the environment, sustainability, and community. At the same time, we are facing the reality of a population that has been halved over time since city formation. Beyond the existential questions of rebuilding and resiliency, we must work together to affirmatively choose and plan for the amenities, infrastructure, and resources that will provide the best quality of life for our residents now and in the future.
